A Bird and A Flower

Tomorrow, there will be a wedding ceremony at Serdang. So, last Saturday, we planned to reschedule Haikal's drawing class, probably in the morning. But due to a few circumstances, we decided to let Haikal attending two classes continuously, with 15 minutes break in between. The first one hour, he paid full attention to his drawing... a flying bird. He was very happy and satisfied when his father bought him candies and a can drink.

The next hour was a bit challenging. The almost-4-years Haikal lost his attention and started to running and playing around the class. He was a bit bored and took a long time to finish his flower. According to the teacher, the drawing was not complete yet. But my husband knew that Haikal couldn't focus any more. We made a wrong decision and learnt a new thing about kid. So, no more two classes a day after this :-)

Illustration Friday - Heights

I almost forget that today is Friday and I haven't submit any illo for Illustration Friday. Well, I'm not planning to skip the challenge yet. So, in a very limited time, I come out with this illustration. A cat climbing a big tree to catch birds, but only to discover that it's actually afraid of heights. Come on kids, let's rescue the poor cat!

Left or Right? Choosing the right shoe for the right foot always becomes a puzzle for kids. But most of the time, they are happy to wear their shoes on the wrong feet :-)

Illustration Friday - Vocal

Illustration Friday. Topic of this week is VOCAL.

Riding Motorcycle

Wahh... it's fun! Haikal was enjoying it too. Thank you Saiful and Laila, your bike was superb!

Proud of You!

Haikal's first drawing class and he did a good job. I was waiting at home impatiently and keep on thinking how his drawing will look like. There's a knock on the door and Haikal just couldn't wait to show me his drawing. Wows... it was really beyond my imagination! Well done, Haikal! You did it very well. I hugged him tightly and kissed him… Proud of you, son!

Anas saw the drawing on the table and agreed that it was beautiful. Guess what, suddenly Anas took his pencil, drawing book and crayons… and started drawing!

A few minutes later, Haikal came and looked at Anas’s drawing… and said “The drawing is not good”.

Hmmm.. Haikal, Haikal! Soon, Anas is going to be as good as you, sayang!

Illustration Friday - Return

Illustration Friday. Topic of this week is RETURN.

Wawa the Butterfly

She is flying! She is moving! That's beauty Wawa...the butterfly.

I Am Happy!

There are two things that make me happy today.

1) During our conversation in Facebook, a friend of mine, K. Tanjong spontaneously told me that she would like to have my drawing. I gave my drawing titled Si Murai to her as a gift. And… she likes it so much.

2) My illustration of Puteri Bukit Lagong gets its own audience. Puteri Bukit
Lagong is a title of a theatre performed by Kelab Peseni , FRIM. I watched their rehearsal and enjoyed the theatre very much. On my way back home, I asked my husband how about drawing something about Puteri Bukit Lagong? It must be fun. My husband said, “Go on!”

I didn’t take a lot of time to sketch on A4 recycled paper. At first, I planned to colour it but cancelled it few minutes later. I thought that it’s just a simple illustration and wouldn’t capture other’s attention at all. My husband took a look and told me that it was good. I smiled… I knew he, as a supportive husband, would always say like that. But then, there’s a request from Peseni blog administrator, asking permission from me to upload the illustration in Peseni’s official blog. Wow…that’s awesome! Without wasting time, I coloured the illustration and emailed back to them. Feel free to visit the blog at http://peseni.blogspot.com/
These two things bring a special meaning to me. It is an indicator… it is a sign… It means that my drawing skill is improving! Isn’t it great???
